About Our Classes
At the Yemeni Community Association in Sandwell, we are proud to provide high-quality, community-driven education for children and young people. Our schools are designed to support both language development and Islamic learning in a warm, welcoming and supportive environment. All classes are open to both boys and girls. The teachers at the Arabic and Quran School have completed basic teacher training courses, enabling them to effectively engage children and young people in their learning. Additionally, all teachers have completed Level 1 Safeguarding training and hold Enhanced DBS checks, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.

Arabic School – £375 per year

Overview
The YCA Arabic School has been running since 1998, offering engaging lessons for children aged 8–14. Born from the community’s desire for a mother-tongue school, it has thrived for over 25 years thanks to the dedication of parents and families. Our teaching is regularly reviewed through external evaluations, including Sandwell LEA and OFSTED-aligned assessments, all of which have praised the school for its commitment to quality.

Quran School – £275 per year
Helping children read, understand, and recite the Holy Quran with confidence.
Overview
The Quran School was created in response to parental demand for accessible and affordable Quranic education. Our dedicated programme nurtures both Quranic knowledge and Islamic values in young people, taught by experienced teachers in a respectful and encouraging environment.

Overview
For parents who want their children to benefit from both schools, the YCA offers a combined Arabic & Quran package. This option provides a balanced education — blending Arabic language learning with Quran recitation and values — all within a structured weekly timetable. By enrolling in the combined programme, families give their children the chance to build confidence, strengthen their identity and gain lifelong skills.
